I saw Midlake play at The Earl last night. Five guys from Denton Texas with handsome beards, humble demeanors, and a mellow folkish sound.
All of their songs tended to sound fairly similar, which the exception of Roscoe, which has to be one of the best songs of 2007 and worth the twelve bucks to hear it live. Watch the video below and be prepared to listen to it repeatedly at a very high volume - then you will feel the need to buy it so you can sing along in your car on every future road trip.
